Bottomless Lakes

Brantley Reservoir
A 2189 acre lake on the Pecos River 15 miles North of Carlsbad
Fish species- Crappie, Large Mouth and white Bass, Walleye and Catfish. State Game and Fish has issued a mandatory catch and release of all spieces due to DDT's in the fish. The lake is safe for swimming and boating.
Lake Level: 2,189 surface acres down to 678 surface acres - 2% of capacity, 55% of average and 141% of last year.
Fishing conditions: Good - DDT Pesticides are present in the lake and the fish! Please, don’t keep or eat them!
