Metro Drainages: winter trout waters-
Several Drainages that flow along the Rio Grande to include
Albuquerque, Bernalillo, Corrales, Perlata. Fish species- Rainbow
Trout, Bass and Catfish.
Fishing conditions: Slow until stocking resumes in Fall 08.
Trout: Slow
Flies: wooly buggers, parachute adams, copper john's
Lures: sm spinners
Bait: Corn & salmon egg combo, power bait and salmon eggs.
Tingley Beach:
3 ponds along the Rio Grande in Albuquerque. Fish species- Rainbow and Brown Trout, Large and Small Mouth Bass, and Catfish.
Fishing conditions: Good for all ponds! Childerns and central ponds are teaming with hungry trout, bass, blue gill and catfish!
Trout: Fair in children's and
central, Good in the catch and release pond - Please! Please? USE CARE
WHEN HANDLING TROUT IN THE CATCH AND RELEASE POND.
Flies: RS2's, Griffiths Gnats, scuds and leeches
Lures: Spinners and Pistol Pete's

Blue Water Lake:
A 1350 acre lake 20 miles Southwest of Grants. Fish species-
Rainbow Trout, Large Mouth Bass, Catfish and Tiger Muskie (catch and
release only).
Lake Level: 1350 surface acres down to 400 surface acres
Boating conditions: Fair, Las Tusas ramp closed, Prewitt ramp is open.
Fishing conditions: Slow

Lures: Panther Martins- gold and black and yellow with red dots
Bait: Worms, power bait and salmon egg and corn combo's
Tiger Musky (catch and Release only): Good
Lures: Red devils and large spoons.
Catfish: good,
Bait: Hot dogs and stink-bait
Cochiti Lake:
A 1200 acre lake 30 miles Southwest of Santa Fe. Fish species-
Walleye, Bass, Channel Catfish, Crappie, Bluegill, Yellow Perch and
Northern Pike.
Clarity: Murky
Lake level: 10% of capacity, 62% of average and 85% of last year
Float conditions: Fair to good
Shore conditions: Fair to good
Walleye: No report
Lures: Jiggs, and spoons, artifical baits
Bait: Worms
Bass: Good
Lures: Spinners
Bait: Worms, minnows
Catfish: Good
Bait: Worms and liver
Bluegill / Crappie/ Perch: Good to excellent

Jemez Mountains:
Jemez River:
A medium sized stream flowing from the Jemez mountians near Jemez Springs. Fish species- Rainbow and Brown Trout.
Flow: 19 CFS
Clarity: Iced tea
Shore fishing conditions: Good - Flow is slow and low.

Flies: Bead headed nymphs, pheasant tails and sm. wooley buggers
Lures: Panther Martins
Bait: Worms, power bait and salmon eggs
East Fork Jemez River:
A small tributary to the Jemez River entering at Battleship Rock. Fish species- Brown and Rainbow Trout.
Clarity: Murky starting to settle
Shore fishing conditions: Good, with very llittle pressure
Trout: Good
Flies: Bead headed nymphs, pheasant tails, sm. wooley buggers and hoppers
Lures: Spinners, Panther Martin's
Bait: Worms, power bait and salmon eggs
Guadalupe River:
A Small tributary to the Jemez River near Jemez Springs. Fish species- Brown Trout.
Clarity: Clear
Fishing conditions: Good
Trout: Browns
Flies: Bead headed nymphs, pheasant tails, sm. wooley buggers and hoppers
Lures: Small Panther Martin's
Bait: Worms, power bait and salmon eggs
San Antonio Creek: Road is open
A small Tributary to the Jemez River where it joins at Battleship Rock. Fish species- Rainbow and Brown Trout.
Clarity: Iced tea
Shore fishing conditions: Good
Trout: Good
Flies: Yellow stimulators and gold hare's ears
Lures: Silver panther martins
Bait: Worms & salmon eggs
Fenton Lake: Stocked with 2189 Rainbow Trout. also cebolla stocked with 1231 Rainbow Trout
A 30 acre lake located in the Jemez Moutains 21 miles North of Jemez Springs. Fish species- Rainbow, Brown and Cutthroat Trout.
Clarity: Clear in main part of lake, a little stained around edges
Float fishing conditions: Fair
Shore fishing conditions: Fair
Trout: Fair, fish averaging 12 inches
Flies: Woolley buggers and reports of stone flies on the water too.
Lures: Small Castmasters-silver, wax worms
Bait: Power bait-all colors, salmon eggs, worms, marshmellows
The Rio Cebolla flowing into Fenton is fishing good on salmon eggs and worms.
